Why I Do This Work

I'm a survivor - of trafficking and exploitation, of domestic abuse, of many of the kinds of traumas that silently reshape lives. My 17-year recovery journey taught me two essential principles: "healing is a process, not an event", and "WHO plus WHOSE equals FREEDOM." That's what I bring to this work.

As a mother and military spouse, I understand resilience not as a character trait you're born with, but as a skill you build through support, compassion, and strategic intervention. I've worked with over 250 youth and adolescents and their families. I've sat in emergency rooms, maximum security facilities, transitional housing, on street corners and family living rooms. I've learned that the people who heal best are those who understand they're not broken - they're resourceful people who've survived extraordinary circumstances. They are people who deserve a introduction, to themselves.

Whether I'm counseling an individual, training a law enforcement team to recognize human trafficking indicators, consulting with an organization on survivor-centered practices, serving on boards & task forces, aiding investigations, or speaking to audiences - my approach is the same: authentic, trauma-informed, grounded in evidence, and full of determination.

Whether you're seeking coaching for yourself or a loved one, interested in collaborating, need a speaker, or searching for a consultant, I'm here to help.

I refust to accept the same wounds in a new dress(ing)... and neither should you.
